Sample Scope and Sequence Grades: 4 and 5

This is a sample scope and sequence based on seeing a class 
once a week. Each number represents one week. Note that it 
includes the Fitnessgram test, which is a requirement in 
New York City. There are no units. You can substitute any 
sport or activity. Just make sure you include some fitness, 
skills, and fun every week.

1. Introduction, orientation and quick active tag game
2. Introduce Fitnessgram/stations
3. Aerobic sports and activities
4. Practice Fitnessgram tests and dance
5. Aerobic activities from the physical best elementary guide
6. Continue aerobic activities combined with sports
